The island of 2 square kilometers and 31 residents has both a Bed & Breakfast and summer café during the summer period, as well as the place where you can taste the famous local Skarø ice cream.
An island hop to Skarø offers the opportunity to visit one of the good beaches or a walk along the island’s many trails, where cozy “coffee spots” along routes invite you to take breaks where you can take in nature, and the island atmosphere.
The island jump also offers wild hares and many different types of birds.
You can get to Skarø with several daily departures from M/F Højestene, which sails from Svendborg harbor.

Hjortø is one of the smallest islands you can experience on an island hop in the southern Fyn Archipelago. Although the island is small, it still holds great experiences.
The low-lying island is protected by dykes, and the highest point on the island is only 5 meters above sea level.
The lush island has a rich and diverse bird and animal life, and also has a large population of wild hares. When island hopping to Hjortø, you have to provide your own food, as there are no shopping options.
When you go to Hjortø, you go with the small ferry Hjortøboen, which has room for 12 passengers and which sails from Svendborg Harbor. The trip takes one hour through Svendborgsund, and has several daily departures.

An island hop to Tåsinge offers preserved half-timbered houses from the 18th century, fruit trees in the countless orchards and, not least, a real village atmosphere in the many small towns that are spread over the hilly landscape.

On the island hop, you can for example, feel the rush of history at Tåsinge Museum in Bregninge Bakker, where you can, among other things, can find out more about the exciting life and career of line dancer Elvira Madigan.

You can also go on an excursion to the Monnet salt marsh, which with its 126 hectares is the largest salt marsh in the Fyn area. The island also offers good bathing beaches and footpaths in the beautiful nature of South Funen, and there is also the opportunity to quench your hunger and thirst in the island’s villages. The island hopping to Tåsinge can be done both by bicycle with a bus connection via Svendborg station, or as part of the trip on the veteran ferry Helge.

With its 88 square kilometers. With 6,000 residents, Ærø can hardly be called one of the small islands in the southern Fyn Archipelago. The island’s rich cultural life, lively villages and, not least, fantastic nature along the rocky coasts make Ærø a sure winner for any island hopping on southern Fyn. Like many other of the islands in the archipelago, Ærø has a rich birdlife, and on the island hop you can come across common woodpeckers, grebes and sandpipers. On the island you can find small cafes and eateries, and there are also plenty of opportunities for hiking on the island’s many footpaths. Due to the size of the island, it is a good idea to bring a bicycle, but you can also make use of free buses throughout the summer period. You get to Ærø with the Ærø ferry, which sails from Svendborg harbour.
